Linda K. Smith
As an artist, Linda K. Smith, a longtime PSSW member (2005), considers herself a “very serious hobbyist” who does the occasional commission. She has worked in all mediums—pastel, oil, watercolor, acrylic and clay (sculpture). Her primary artistic “bent” is toward portrait work and still life which often appears in the narrative of her paintings.
Since turning her focus towards artistic growth in the early 2000’s, she has studied under many exceptional artists like Kay Polk, Judy Carducci, Alain Picard, Sally Strand, and Anna Rose Bain.
Her longtime artistic practice has been to paint the portrait from a live model on a weekly basis for over 14 years. Growth in the painting process and sharing her faith through her creativity are uppermost in her mind. She also feels qualified to share about baby portraiture as she has 3 wonderful grandsons!
